The Parka is definitely having something of a fashion moment right now – but not all Parkas are created equal.
We’ve used all of our expert knowledge to create the perfect performance Parka – one that not only looks effortlessly stylish, but will stand up to the toughest of weather conditions too.
Find out what makes our ‘Liz’ Parka so special…
Henri Lloyd is proud of its legacy for being the world’s first nautical brand to hand-tape seams. While stitching may be more traditional, when it comes to absolute barrier waterproofing it’s simply not suitable. No matter how waterproof the fabric, needle holes will cause leaks if not sealed properly – hence the gluing and taping of seams was developed. The triple sealing technique was originally developed by Mr Henri and unique to Henri Lloyd. Today, we still partner with some of the most advanced suppliers of waterproof taping in the world and we test each of our products to ensure every taped garment meets the highest standards for waterproofing.
This season our Liz Parka is seam taped throughout using world-renowned ‘Bemis taping’, making it fully weather worthy outerwear.
It’s not just design know-how of a technical nature that makes the ‘Liz’ Parka so unique. The styling details offer clean lines with a modern twist creating a timeless feel that will live beyond the season. It’s been carefully cut to allow room for it to be layered over chunkier sweaters on cold days yet it’s light enough to throw over jersey in warmer weather – the perfect transitional piece.
It’s constructed of a specialist super lightweight fabric with ultimate water repellent technology to keep you protected from the elements – but there’s even more to this clever material. This luxurious fabric also has a shaped memory property whereby, even after severe creasing, the top layer will always return to its original shape simply by smoothing with your hand. So not only does the ‘Liz’ look good, with its sporty utility perfect for country and city-goers alike, it will stay looking good, wear after wear after wear.
