The Portland Jacket was originally designed by Mr Henri in the 1960’s with the coastal sailor in mind, and was the base engineering construction for his later Ocean Racer Jacket developed to survive the treacherous Southern Ocean. Named after the important way-point for coastal traffic, Portland Bill, in Dorset, England, the innovative design was ingeniously simple and was one of the first protective jackets in the world to have fully taped seams to ensure waterproofness. In our relentless pursuit of excellence we have redeveloped the Portland Jacket, staying true to the orginal with built in protective engineering for today’s lifestyle.
